That's fine by me, how do we decide who gets voting power?
In the olden days, to vote in the captains meeting your team had to attend the previous two tournaments, your team was defined as three players from the previous tournament.
I believe you could also vote if you attended at least half of the regionals.
Obviously the most active teams should be able to decide how they want to play. However, I made sure when Jester's had 6 traveling teams, and Pittsburgh sent only 1 or 2 teams, that we didn't abuse our majority and dictate a new set of rules. I even made it so that whatever changes we made were not official National rules until they were adopted in the captain's meeting during Nats.
At this point for Nationals this year, I think we would be lucky to get Florida to come, maybe a few players from Michigan and Colorado, and you never know about NY.
And I don't know what's going on with the teams from Pitt. We would need to get a list of the teams with their players over the season, and see who would qualify to vote, then get them on here. I also don't know the state of the rules with Pitt players. We had so many problems in Pittsburgh and were told about all these problems players were having with rules not being called, then we get to SkateZone and everyone is fine going back to the old rules.
My primary concern is if the rules change too quickly, I'm going to lose my players and no longer have a team. That does not mean I think I should have more voting power than other players, just that we should put limits on what and how many things can change in a time period. I don't think anyone should be able to call a vote at any time, and there needs to be a quorum for a vote to count.
In the past we also gave owners/operators a voting option.
