Thanks for everyone's help last night! The ob deck is almost done! I didn't expect to get that far before the 3 on 3.
The ob deck will only be 24 feet wide instead of the full 40. We needed to leave room for stairs and the counter. That could always change in the future, but for now we are happy with it.
With most of the light from the lobby being blocked by the ob deck, we got to play some good games.

This arena is amazing! There are so many spots to play. I can say for the first time since Jester's closed, it felt like our home arena. There is something about the way we make the design. Something that makes a small arena feel much bigger. And the pods! The familiar triangle lights, the omni mounted on the front, and the inlayed pods that make it so much harder to hit.

I kinda feel sorry for the newer Pittsburgh players that never experienced the JC pods before. Not only are they harder to hit (and we aren't even using the reducers to make it harder), but we split the pod run so you can hit it from two sides, but not straight on, so you have a very limited angle to hit it from.

We also installed brand new batteries last night.

I can't wait until Saturday!
